The DC/AC converters are being widely used in grid-connected photovoltaic generation systems. Their main function is to inject active power to the grid. However, it is possible to integrate the functionality of active power filtering in the same system, eliminating the current harmonics generated by non-linear loads. So that, the photovoltaic DC/AC converter will have the capacity to eliminate the harmonic currents generated by the non-linear load while it is able to inject active power into the grid. This paper presents a control strategy based on Lyapunov-function for a single-phase DC/AC converter for photovoltaic systems that considers the harmonic compensation. The analysis, design, and simulations results are presented.
