Web Application API Blind Denial of Service Attacks

摘要

Denial-of-Service attacks (DoS) are conducted against a running service to interrupt its availability to legitimate users. DoS attacks are very common today as they requires less technical knowledge and are hard to detect and expensive to prevent. In this paper, we focus on blind DoS, a new technique that merges the benefits of both attack types that can be exploited in modern vulnerable web applications and affect the application availability to legitimate users. We also develop testing software and study the DoS effects on the network.
