The importance of PLC in the predictive maintenance of electronic equipment

The purpose of this article is to highlight the importance of the programmable logic controllers in the predictive maintenance. The PLC-based control system concept and the types of equipment with software for maintenance are presented. A model of the software for maintenance of diverse electronic equipment based on case studies is analyzed in the last part of this paper.
