Correlations and Dependencies of the Formants During Speech in Romanian

We analyze the dependencies and dynamic correlation of the formants during speech and compare the values of the correlations with those obtained for sustained vowel pronunciation. Linear regressions that are strong in terms of R2 and large values of the correlations are found for /a/, /e/, but not for /i/. The linear regressions and correlation values change depending on the accent and position of the vowel in the word. The inter-speaker correlation variation is large and the intra-speaker variability is also significant.
