As we move from www (static pages web) to web2 (social networking web) to Web3 (ubiquitous computing web), the real time sensing anywhere of Internet of things (IoT) applies increasingly. Ubiquitous sensing enabled by Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technologies covers many areas of modern day living. This offers the ability to collect day living indicators and monitor urban live. This paper presents a system which includes several sensor units to detect the change of seating status and send a flag to the receiver by wireless signal. The receiver transmits the flag to the cloud monitor system. The monitor system will update the real time seating status and send it to passenger's mobile devices such as smart phone, tablet PC and fixed devices such as metro platform's big screen as well, displaying seats layout map with number and location of "total seats", "be seated", "vacancy". Passenger will know the real time seating status before car arrives at the station through mobile devices such as mobile phone, tablet and through touch screen platform also. This system works for public transportation such as bus, metro, train etc.
