Credibility assessment is the foundation to control and reducing simulation risk. A credibility assessment method is presented for sonar signal simulation system based on detection result consistency. The compatibility test method is first introduced to analyze the simulation test result and sea test result. Then the method of determining indicator weight based on analytical hierarchical process is given. A comprehensive method for the credibility assessment of sonar signal system is obtained by integrating compatibility test, simulation result and sea test result. The credibility assessment method and assessment result are adopted to evaluate the simulation system before its application for simulation analysis and evaluation purposes.
