A compact Multiband Slotted Microstrip Patch Antenna (MSMPA) is proposed for TD-LTE, ITU and X band applications. Proposed multiband slotted antenna is designed and fabricated on FR-4 substrate with dimension 40 mm × 40 mm × 1.6 mm, dielectric constant (εr) =4.4 with loss tangent (δ) = 0.025 and thickness of patch and ground is 35 μm (0.035 mm). The Antenna Under Test (AUT) is designed by etching Y-shape followed by U-shape on a rectangular patch having dimension 25 X20 (0.1833λ0 X0.147 λ0) in mm. Inset feed micro-strip line is used. ATU simulated on CST software. AUT resonates at 2.4 GHz, 4.1 GHz and 7.98GHz frequencies with −21.3dB, −13.7dB and −20dB S11parameters respectively. The proposed MSMPA is intended for IEEE 802.15.1 (2.402-2.480 GHz), TD-LTE 2300/2500 (2.2–2.5 GHz), ITU#10 band and X-Band Satellite Communication Service applications.
