Air-conditioning load as an important part of the peak load, its reasonable regulation can effectively improve system efficiency. The air-conditioning load is a typical thermostatically controlled load, and its thermal storage characteristics make it an excellent demand response resource with advantages of fast response speed and low cost. In order to achieve a reasonable dispatch for air-conditioning resources, based on the third-order air-conditioning model, aggregate the air-conditioning load using the Monte Carlo simulation method. On the premise of satisfying user comfort, a method of evaluating the adjustable capacity of air-conditioning is proposed by controlling the working temperature range of air-conditioning. The simulation results prove the feasibility of the method and provide a quantitative basis for the planning of day-ahead scheduling when the air-conditioning load participates in the demand response.
