Analysis of Disease Data in Indonesia by Using SAW and AHP Decision Support Methods

According to Indonesian Health Profile 2016, published by Ministry of Health, there are eight vector-borne diseases and zoonosis that still occur in Indonesia, namely dengue fever (DBD/DHF), chikungunya, filariasis, malaria, rabies, leptospirosis, anthrax, and bird flu. Some of them still have a quite high incidence rate, like DHF, malaria, and rabies. By using decision-making method, the province that most needs the handling of these three diseases can be known. This paper aims to understand which province that mostly needs the handling of DHF, rabies, and malaria, then compares the result between two methods that used, by using Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The result shows that the two methods can be used to find out the provinces with the highest number of diseases. The implementation of AHP and SAW yield different rank of provinces which have high numbers of cases in those diseases.
