Soil moisture detection using CSRR based submersible RF sensor

摘要

In this work a novel design of CSRR loaded submersible planar RF sensor is presented. The proposed sensor has a quite high sensitivity as compared to the other reported planar RF sensors. Design and optimization of proposed sensor is performed using the CST-MWS. Finally the designed sensor is fabricated on the 0.8 mm Roger 5880 substrate. Proposed work can be appreciated in term of its applicability for very small percentage moisture detection in the different variant of available soil/sand samples.
