In this article, a two port multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented for wideband applications. The proposed antenna structure consists of three segmented dielectric resonators of same permittivity excited by microstrip line feeding. These feeding structures are oriented in such a way that orthogonal modes are generated in the dielectric resonator. The fractional bandwidth for both port-1 and port-2 is 46.15%. The proposed MIMO antenna achieves a high isolation (S12) of greater than -30dB in the entire operating frequency. This frequency band (5-8GHz) is mainly used for communication satellites.
