This paper presents a rectangular substrate integrated waveguide (RSIW) leaky-wave antenna. This antenna support continuous backward to forward scanning. The antenna consists of longitudinal slots along with inductive posts. The longitudinal slot has been used for backward to forward radiation of space harmonic -1 with open-stopband (OSB) because of impedance mismatched in OSB. By introducing additional inductive post that resolves the problem of impedance mismatched, hence OSB is suppressed. The proposed antenna is designed for 10-16 GHz with scanning angle from -55° through broadsides to 34°.
