A combined dynamic factor algorithm of Monitor-Mass flow is presented for the compound disturbance problem in automatic gauge control of small work roll six-high cold reversing mill, the corresponding control strategy is provided to eliminate the disturbance. Firstly, the limitations of the traditional AGC control under compound disturbance are discussed by listing the configuration of six-high reversing mill and the disturbance during rolling. Secondly, the difference between monitor-mass flow precalculation and actual thickness deviation are dynamic compared, the final gap adjustment is calculated by developing a combined dynamic factor between monitor and mass flow, then most system uncertainty produced by rolling disturbance is greatly eliminated through the control strategy. Finally, some application results of a project demonstrate the feasibility and validity of this strategy.
