Rubber rollers are important components in paper feeding mechanism, which is frequently used in printers and ATMs, its friction properties affects paper feeding greatly. In order to test friction coefficient of rubber roller in working process, dynamic loading testing device for rubber roller friction coefficient was designed based on wedge and lever mechanics. The device used STM32 series ARM microprocessor for motor driving, sensor data acquisition and processing. And a touch screen was utilized as the host computer for control process and data displaying. After the optimizing of mechanical structure and control system, a prototype was made, in which experiment was carried out to test friction coefficient of silicone rubber roller. Experiment results show that the device can effectively realize continuous loading, and friction coefficient related data of the rubber roller on paper can be dynamically acquired. The device greatly improved the test efficiency and provided a powerful testing method for investigation on nonlinear friction in paper transfer process by rubber roller.
