摘要

When dealing with friction between a flexible material (e.g., rubber), and a hard, rough object, it is important to study the surface's viscoelastic characteristics at high frequency. In this report, the relationships between the ultrasonic wave characteristics and dynamic Viscoelasticity by the dynamic mechanical analysis method (DMA) are investigated. As a result, we found a very good relationship between tan 5 obtained by ultrasonic measurement and frequency-shifted DMA in tensile. Moreover, we show that Viscoelasticity of rubber at high frequency can be easily evaluated by an ultrasonic contact method without time-temperature transfer. At the same time, the influence of UV aging of a rubber surface was characterized.
