T40 paper proposed a novel engineering calculation method for substation grounding potential induced by subway stray current. First, the relation formula is established about the rail vehicles traction current and the grounding potential of the substation near metro rail, then, incidence matrix is figured out based on real-time synchronous monitoring data of the two elements. The factors in incidence matrix change with temperature, humidity and other factors which can affect soil resistivity, however, incidence matrix factors can be seen as constant in fixed environment. Furthermore, possible substation grounding potential can be deduced for various operation situations. The substation grounding potential deviation between simulation result and actual measurement is less than 5%.
