T227 problem of parameters estimation for DS-SS signal has attracted much attention with the widely used of DS-SS technology, and the blind estimation of spreading code period is a key component, for which the power spectrum reprocessing method is effective. But in practice, there are some problems degrade the performance of it, such as the peak energy leakage, false peak interference, low utilization rate of data and so on. Aiming at these problems, the method is improved by modifying segment length, extracting non-adj acent peaks and overlapping segment. Compared with the original algorithm, the improved algorithm is more practical and estimation accuracy is higher in low SNR. The simulation results verify the correctness of theoretical derivation and the feasibility of practical application.
