Trinity: Data Management Scheme and Performance

摘要

This paper presents a high-level summary of the architecture and early experience with data management and the Trinity system, the first DOE ASC Advanced Technology System (ATS). Trinity is a Cray XC40 supercomputer with planned delivery in two phases: a Haswell first phase, with Knights Landing being added to phase 2. The paper describes the data management scheme including some unique leading edge components and presents over all first impressions of the currently operational first phase.
