Directing the Mobilization and Homing of Stem Cells for Cardiac Repair

Conclusions: We have investigated the stem cell mobilization and homing effects of NGF and SDF-1α. Compared with SDF-1α, controlled release of NGF from an injectable decellularized cardiac ECM hydrogel may lead to better outcomes due to its pleiotropic beneficial effects on bone marrow derived stem cells.
