Conclusions: The use of prototyped meshes resulted in an immediately reinforced repair site as designed, followed by a transition to a more compliant repair over the course of the 12-week monitoring period. Histological analysis provides further evidence that the developed meshes lead to a larger degree of collagen incorporation, development and maturation compared to the predicate Ultrapro™.
