Conclusions: Hydrogels with inherent electrical conductivity and/or positively charged surface were successfully fabricated Enhanced proliferation, spreading and neurite development were demonstrated for PC12 cells growing on the composite hydrogel with both conductivity and positive charged surface. These results showed that rGOaCNTpega-OPF-MTAC hydrogels have promising potential as conduits for nerve tissue engineering.
