Conclusions: Uniaxially and biaxially stretched PCL films were prepared as substrates for MC3T3-E1 cells. The U11 and B4 films, especially the U11 one, promoted MC3T3-E1 cell adhesion, attachment, proliferation, and mineralization, than the original film. The U7 film did not promote MC3T3-E1 cell attachment and proliferation but enhanced its differentiation because of the groove-like topography compared with the original film. Expression of integrin subunits and mineralization gene markers of ALP, OCN, and OPN were further correlated with these findings.
