摘要

This paper investigates the influence of geometric design variables on the machine's characteristics of low voltage permanent magnet synchronous motor for in-wheel direct-drive application. On the base of finite-element-analysis, sensitivity analysis has be performed to improve the torque density and the efficiency. The effect of different slot/pole combinations on the machine's characteristics has been investigated, taking the AC copper losses into account.
