Considering the scarcity of frequency and specific asymmetry of uplink-downlink traffic, the wireless network for smart grid should be designed specially to satisfy the different QoS requirements of smart grid users for massive as well as critical machine type communications (MTC). To address above issues, we propose to build a private wireless network for smart grid services and operate on licensed band. Furthermore, we provide massive uplink data transmission in a best-effort manner while guarantee the QoS of control signal in the downlink phase. Besides, we schedule appropriate resource and allocate power for both data traffic aiming at maximize capacity of uplink while each control signal should be transmit promptly and correctly. The formulated problem can be cast into an equivalent convex form, and thus we can find the optimal solution efficiently. The proposed algorithm is evaluated via numerical simulations.
