摘要

This work presents a new miniaturized 3-D cubic antenna used for wireless sensor network. The antenna is designed as a cube including a meander dipole antenna. An omnidirectional pattern is produced by this antenna in both E-plane for phi= 0° and H-plane for phi= 90°. The operating frequency is in the ISM band (2.45 GHz). The proposed antenna has dimensions of 1.25*1.12*1cm3which characterized by the length dimension equal to λ/11. The overall antenna (Ka) is 0.44. The WSN has many problems and the major constraint is the energy consumption. In the radio communication unit the energy consumption is relatively high compared with other components. So it is necessary to design an antenna which improves the energy efficiency. The parameters considered of the proposed antenna are the return loss, bandwidth, and radiation pattern in terms of the directivity, the gain and efficiency. All results of the simulations were performed by the commercial software CST-MST.
