Aimed at the problem that it is easy for buses to roll in the extreme-turn conditions, the paper finished a series of analysis. First, bus turning driving dynamics model was established based on the effect of suspension motion on roll angle. In the extreme-turn conditions Roll stability and critical roll angle threshold were analyzed, and formulas of roll angle prediction and roll angle threshold of rollover prevention were derived; Second, taking the roll angle prediction and roll angle threshold as judging condition of extreme-turn rollover prevention warning and active control, active safety control of extreme-turn rollover prevention was achieved through changing speed. At last, taking the bus parameters as an example, correctness and effectiveness of the method was validated through joint simulation of Matlab/Simulink and TruckSim. The results show that the method can achieve bus rollover prevention control to some extent in the extreme-turn conditions.
