Cluster based single hop routing algorithm along with an energy harvesting model are proposed in the paper. Since conventional mechanisms to generate electricity would not work in nanoscale, ambient mechanical force, such as heartbeat, and muscle strain are the few available sources of energy which could be converted to electrical charge by piezoelectric generator. ZnO nanowires packaged in the nanogenerator will be subjected to mechanical force and generate flow of electron. And the flow of electron will be harvested in an ultra nanocapacitor. The proposed model also includes two algorithms; one to form clusters and the other is to transmit data from the nanosensors to nanorouters. The primary objective of this paper is to seek for a decentralized single hop cluster based routing protocol that is designed in accordance with energy harvesting model by exploiting and improvising prevailing mechanisms.
