In this paper, the effects of changing the wood material properties, namely: modulus of elasticity, density, modulus of rigidity (shear modulus), and Poisson ratio on the mode frequencies and frequency response of a 3D CAD model of a guitar body are investigated. Results show that density is inversely proportional to the shift in the frequency response and mode frequencies while the Young's Modulus, Shear Modulus and Poisson Ratio are directly proportional to the shift in frequency response. Also, it was observed that the high frequency modes are more affected by the parameter changes as indicated by larger slopes.
