Biometrics ascribe to an automatic authentication of a person based on its individual features or characteristics. There is a huge variety of biometrics that can be used for identification and verification purpose. A biometric device is one that captures a physiological ‘image’ and uses that image to permit or deny access. Multimodal biometrics is used to refer a combination of two or more biometric modalities in an automatic authentication system. When used for identification and verification purposes biometrics systems provides better accuracy, security, improved reliability and convenience to the users than normal traditional based systems. This paper provides the survey of multimodal biometric evaluation using iris and sclera aspects of biometric identification on the basis of which evaluation of the biometric system is performed, the evolution of various parameters to enhance the recognition ability of a biometric method.
