摘要

Both fabric heterogeneity and patchy-saturation are the significant factors causing seismic wave dispersion and attenuation, and most previous studies on rock anelasticity focus on a single aspect of the two types of heterogeneities. In this work, we present a double double-porosity model which can model the overlapping effect of the two heterogeneities on wave dispersion and attenuation. Comparisons between experimental data in the siltstone sample and theoretical results show good agreements. The new theory allows for a comprehensive description of wave propagation process in the highly complex reservoir rocks.
