摘要

An Expert system (ES) is specialized computer developed software that is intended to imitate like human expert. This computer program solves the tough complex problems using mathematical equations. Expert system is used in many areas like finance, computer design etc. but medicine is the most popular area that assist physicians to early prevention and cure of vulnerable diseases like lung cancer, heart diseases, kidney problems, skin cancer, diabetes and many more. On studying several diseases, the root cause of all the diseases comes to drug addiction. The person who takes drugs is subject to have such incurable diseases. Drugs are a major social problem over the years. The motive is developing an expert system which can predict whether the person is addicted prone to drugs so as to control and aware every drug abuser as they can test repeatedly to cure them without hesitation. An expert system is developed using decision tree ID3 algorithm is a psychological test which contains 65000+ rules that distinguish SEVERE, MODERATE and LOW state of the user according to the test answered by the user in each state whether he is addicted to drugs or prone to drugs.
