WLANs today in enterprise and college campuses face problems like low bandwidth and unreasonable resource allocation. These causes improper utilization of Wi-Fi resources. To overcome this problem the new method of load balancing is introduced by Haibo Ni [13] by considering the social group in their college campus. This technique takes into consideration the social relationship of users to balance the load on Wi-Fi access points. In this technique socially related users are grouped into same groups. The users from same group are allocated to access point where there are less number of users connected from same group. This work is a case study carried out for load balancing in the campus of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, India. In this paper author has used data from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune to simulate the algorithm and found applied use of this method.
