摘要

Optimal power flow is highly constrained, non linear and non optimization problems of the power system. This present paper introduced meta heuristic Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm to solve of OPF problems equipped with shunt connected Flexible AC transmission (FACT) device called Static VAR Compensator( SVC). Total three objective functions Fuel Cost, Voltage Deviation and Active power loss are considered as OPF problems. To determines the Quality and effectiveness of proposed approach (GWO) apllied on standard IEE-30 bus test system with and without SVC device. The results demonstrate that GWO algorithm given optimal setting of control variable for all objective functions compared to other well known algorithms were reported in literature.
