Database Concepts And Requirements To Optimize The Management Of The Cosmo-Skymed Institutional Users Community

COSMO-SkyMed (Constellation of Small satellites for Mediterranean basin Observation) is an Earth Observation Dual Use System (civil and military) conceived to fulfil both civilian and defence needs. The idea to define a concetual maps of a database steins from the need to supervise and handle a large number of tasks and a large volume of information associated with provision of COSMO-Skymed data to Users. The aim of the analyse shows in this paper is to formulate ideas and concepts for a database tailored on management of tasks regard the data provision. The database should be capable to extract quickly and easily fully comprehensive and complete charts . They can concern general statement of the activated Project and of the linked data provision, economic statement of them. . In addition the database should allow to visualize the state of the exploitation of the mission in term of requesting user, geographic area of interest in the several application domains. It is likely to be a useful instrument for providing, to research community, policy makers and the general public, information and the knowledge derived from exploitation of the COSMO-Skymed in these years, so to enable/improve decision making and to continue to support "end-to-end" research in the several applications scenarios.
