How to guide the visually impaired walk safely and independently in strange environment is one of the urgent tasks. For such situation, we proposed a system which is high precision navigation system based on haptic and the blind spatial cognition. The system combined with spatial cognition features of the blind and ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless positioning technology to realize the precise positioning, using the different vibration prompt mode and voice prompt mode to guide the blind pedestrians. The accuracy of UWB technology achieved positioning decimeter level is used to positioning the visually impaired for completing the route guidance. Different vibration would tip the blind in a noisy environment when voice prompt interference. This schedule can reduce the blind cognitive pressure and providing a more diverse choice for precise positioning and routes prompting.
