The Brazilian Space-Tech Vocacional Center

For the last twelve years, the Brazilian Space Agency (BSA) has been running a program, named BSA School, conceived to inspire young students and increase the teachers' knowledge in space related themes, such as satellites, space platforms, astronomy, space vehicles and space applications. After many years of operation, we realized the program needs modernization despite the fact of its great achievements. The necessity for modernization comes, partially, from the spread of the information technology in Brazil, and the demand of paving the foundations towards a future knowledge based society. Space activities, in a broad sense, require a high degree of multidisciplinarity. Thus, the Brazilian Space Agency has designed a novel platform named E2T, which, translated to English, would stand for Environment for Education and Technology. A key component of this platform is the Space-Tech Vocational Center, which is currently being erected in the Rocket Launch Base of Natal, Brazil. This paper thus describes the E2T platform and themain features of the first Brazilian Space-Tech Vocational, built to inspire our young generations in pursuing STEM careers.
