Collaborating with HPCMP CREATE™-AV Kestrel

Kestrel has been developed to serve the broad community of engineers involved in the DoD acquisition process. While Kestrel versions to date offer robust and scalable multi-body, multi-physics, high-fidelity simulation capability, some niche production and research needs remain unmet Over the last year, great strides have been made toward providing a means for collaborators to expand upon the core capabilities of an installed binary release of Kestrel. This allows those previously-unmet needs to be addressed. The means by which a collaborator can modify the Kestrel graphical user interface and simulation behavior through a Software Development Kit (SDK) and plugin architecture are discussed. Two example plugins are also discussed.
