CONTROLLED RELEASE FERTILISERS (CRF) have been proposed to reduce nitrogen (N) losses due to improved synchronisation of N release with crop N uptake. As temperature is a major factor affecting the N release from CRF, it is important to understand the variability in release patterns due to seasonal climate variability, location and management.
