For Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that is impelled by pushing propeller, propeller slipstream has a significant effect on trim characteristic of aircraft This paper presents some investigations about propeller slipstream action on the whole UAV. S-A turbulent model is adopted to obtain the whole aircraft flowfield with propeller and no propeller, respectively. MRF(Multiple Reference Frames) method is used to compute propeller rotation flowfield. The results shows that propeller slipstream has little effect on wing and an evident effect on horizontal stabilator. Slipstream can disturb the flowfield around the horizontal stabilator so that it can change the trim condition. Slipstream makes negative lift on horizontal stabilator decreased. Effects of different propeller rotation speeds on trim are also investigated, which demonstrates that the faster rotation speed is, the more serious the discrepancy is.
