There are many and various social threats related to cyberspace. Chat rooms, emails, texting, mobile phones, and tablets are used for reputation distractions, privacy breaches, and safety issues. Moreover, with the growth of social networking and the immediacy of communication, the possibility of cyber intimidation is greater than ever before. Effects of online intimidation of victims can vary widely, ranging from humiliation and shaming to depression and drug abuse, resulting in health issues and death threats. This chapter explores several of the most egregious forms of cyber intimidation, including bullying, blackmailing, and defamation and proposes possible solutions to these threats.
