Temperature control system in modern greenhouse is a complex multi-variable, large hysteresis control process, therefore, neither setpoint control nor traditional PID control could obtain effective result from a large inertia greenhouse system. Firstly, this paper improves the identification result of traditional forgetting factor recursive least squares algorithm by adding two mechanism constraints. Then, a generalized predictive control is proposed for greenhouse temperature system. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed control strategy can not only achieve good tracking response, but also obtain satisfactory disturbance rejection performance.
