Three kinds of propellant fracturing experiment are conducted at two different impactingvelocity and low temperature (-40°C) in order to study the effect of the damaged propellanton the combustion performances. The smashed samples are put in order and analyzed. Thestatic combustion test of the smashed propellant is conducted under the low temperature inthe closed bomb. The results indicate that, the larger the ratio of the broken propellant, thebigger the gas generation speed in the low pressure range less than 100MPa, and the fasterthe pressure rising. The results can provide guidance for the design and study of a new highenergy propellant.
