To develop capability in estimating the mechanical integrity of solid rocket motors, acomputational model has been developed in this paper. Using parametersand mechanical properties obtained from literature and industry, finite elementnumerical modelling was performed in COMSOL. Mechanical analysis has beenperformed keeping in mind, the rocket motor during firing. The stress experienced bythe rocket motor during the firing process under pressure loading has then beenassessed from the computational study.
