摘要

High energy density lithium ion battery (LiB) is utilized to power the electric vehicles (EVs). However, there are several problems such as low power density, high cost and cycle lifetime with LiB. A hybrid power source three level inverter was proposed to assist battery power by electrical double layer capacitor (EDLC) to cut the peak power of LiB. Extending battery life is expected by reducing maximum power of battery and joule heat. In this paper, power distribution control method is proposed to cut peak power of the battery and keep the energy of EDLC within the limits.
