Method to share a burst-mode receiver between continuous- and burst-mode transmitter for VM migration of cloud edge

We study a future metro network architecture based on NG-PON2 systems. We propose a method to reduce the optical receivers and electrical switches by diverting NG-PON2's circuits and transmitters to support the cloud edge cost-effectively.
