摘要

In watchful sleep mode for PON, the power consumption and average transition delay are the most important and conflicting performance index, and influenced by the sleep state duration. In this paper, we have modelled for watchful sleep mode based on Markov chain to analyze system performances. Through the numerical analysis, we can find that the ESE can be improved to ≥ 70% and the average TD is no more than 35ms, when the sleep state cycles (n) are 20.
