Sustainability is widely recognized as one of the most important challenges faced by the world. More and more companies have started publishing their sustainability reports. This paper applies a text mining approach to discover sustainability trends in the financial services sector using corporate sustainability reports. The findings of this paper demonstrate that client centricity, high governance, financial crime control, sustainable policies of mortgage and loan, and training and education are considered as important sustainability issues or concerns in financial services sector in Europe and North America. These insights can help financial institutions identify improvement opportunities by comparing its own sustainability efforts with the overall trends in the financial services sector.
