摘要

Currently in the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) a tram bearing is replaced only if elaborate inspection finds it faulty. The tram thereby is out of service for several days. To reduce maintenance costs this paper gives a review about investigations how to estimate the wear via wireless and self-sufficient sensors. Moreover, information about the requirements of such sensors are given.
