Failure of a shear pile wall used for the stabilization of a long landslide

摘要

A method is employed in this paper for the computation of earth pressure mobilized bylandslides against retention systems. The method combines the approach of Résal-Frontard with that ofthe analysis of infinites slopes. It is shown, depending on the length of the landslide, that the forces canreach very high values. A case study illustrates the principles discussed in the paper.
