In this paper, a slab is designed to reduce the reflected power (clutter) at the penetration of Ultra-WideBand waves to human skin. The clutter signal is very large and it severly reduces the quality of the received signals and so inhibits the detection of tumors inside human body. The governing equations for thickness of the slab and the allowed frequencies inside it are given. Simulations are performed to assess the benefits of adding a slab on the surface of the skin. The magnitude of the electric field across skin, slab and air media is plotted. A model of an Aluminum rod placed inside a skin-like media is designed and the improve in the quality of the received back-reflected signals is discussed.
